YACEP: Part I (of 2) Taoist Inspired Yin Yoga Teacher Training (Online/In-Person)!

The Art of Teaching Taoist Inspired Yin Yoga: Cultivating the Internal Ebb & Subtle Flows!

30 Hour Teacher Training Immersion

Learn to be an Instructor of Taoist Inspired Yin Yoga through the Dragon Spirit Arts Yoga School (Certified by Yoga Alliance). This one of a kind Teacher Training Immersion brings together the two ancient systems of Kundalini Yoga & Tao Yin Lung Shen Chi-kung into a fusion style that incorporates Moving & Still Meditations grounded in the constant of the Earth Element. The Philosophy, Techniques, Training, Practice and Teaching Methods behind this Program are informed by 20+ years of practice by the Lead Trainer steeped in various Taoist Martial/Internal Arts systems and Yogic Arts traditions... among many others!

Since one does not exist without the other, we will focus on fundamental aspects of a Taoist inspired “Yin” practice, whilst delving into “Yang” aspects for a wholistic understanding. Key anatomical and philosophical concepts will be introduced, investigated and elaborated upon, plus trainees will practice the art of teaching. In addition, we will analyze still postures/posture flows, discuss quality of movement as is relates to Yin/Yang aspects, the 5 Elements (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood & Fire) & the Taoist Meridian System/Traditional Chinese Medicine, explore the similarities/differences with the Ayurvedic Medicine practices and how they ultimately come together through this “Fusion” style practice. The internal ebb of still meditation and the subtle flow of meditative movement concepts will be studied and practiced.

The 30-hour Immersion provides an opportunity to expand your Yogic studies into the realms of the Taoist Internal Arts perspective. If you are already teaching professionally, add this to your base of knowledge and experience, plus all hours can be submitted as CEU's through Yoga Alliance. However, many people enroll in this program with the intention of deepening their own practice, or as a journey of self-discovery and personal development. To make a total of 50 hours, additional non-contact hours will be fulfilled by viewing assigned video and reading materials and completing writing assignments based on training experience. The guided visualization and writing exercises offered intend to support trainees in the personal self -development necessary to so that their teaching uses an authentic voice to foster the trainee’s finding of their own “way” of facilitating in a teaching capacity. Certificates of Completion will awarded to those who complete the Course. A follow up reading & writing assignment will be required to receive the Certificate of Completion. This course offers a Certificate of Completion & is Yoga Alliance certified (50 CEU Credits are available to RYT's & ERYT's).

Plan for each weekend to be led through workshops covering a variety of topics in the teacher training curriculum that includes lecture and discussion, techniques training and practice, teaching methods, subtle body-anatomy & physiology, philosophy and ethics and lifestyle of the yogic arts.
